What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas
  2. Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions as you lead end-to-end design initiatives within a specific domain
  3. Role-model the adoption of inclusive design practices and accessibility guidelines, mentor junior designers, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user experience design into the product development process and ensure seamless, customer-centric solutions
  5. Analyze market trends, gather feedback from user research, and use data insights to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences across platforms

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in user experience design or similar roles
  • Demonstrated ability to create visual representations of user journeys, such as storyboarding, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Demonstrated experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines, with the ability to incorporate diverse perspectives into design solutions
  • Proven ability to develop experiences that meet or exceed initial product proposals, including “north star” concepts that drive customer-centric decision-making
  • Advanced technical literacy, including an understanding of client-side technologies, APIs, microservices, and how system constraints impact design decisions
  • Proven experience designing for consumer-facing products, particularly in e-commerce, marketplace, or similar direct-to-consumer environments
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped work and measurable impact on product outcomes (not just concepts)
  • Portfolio includes high-fidelity design work that reflects a sophisticated, modern aesthetic and a strong, opinionated point of view on visual and interaction design; work demonstrates the ability to elevate and modernize complex or legacy experiences, introducing contemporary patterns and raising the overall quality bar
  • Demonstrated ability to design end-to-end user journeys (not just individual screens)
  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions, tradeoffs, and constraints, including exploration of multiple design approaches
