Experience Researcher

Asana Asana · Enterprise · Vancouver, BC · Experience Research

Asana is seeking an Experience Researcher to shape their new AI-powered service management product. This role will conduct foundational research, drive co-design and usability testing, and influence the product roadmap from early access to GA and beyond. The researcher will champion a customer-centric culture, scale research impact by coaching partners, and synthesize complex data into actionable narratives. While there's a technical dimension, deep technical expertise is not required. The role emphasizes using AI tools to enhance research productivity and decision-making in a zero-to-one product environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and prioritize high-impact research needs in partnership with product leadership, ensuring the Asana for Service roadmap is based in both customer understanding and business goals.
  2. Lead foundational post-GA research that drives critical product improvements for Asana for Service and influences long-term product vision. Examples: How might we develop the knowledge base? How do we want to support asset management? What product gaps deserve top spot on the roadmap? What key personas still need to be developed?
  3. Drive co-design and usability research: own the customer panel feedback loop to track the evolution of user needs as the product scales.
  4. Champion a customer-centric culture by contributing to design crits and product reviews, identifying strategic research opportunities before they are formally requested.
  5. Scale research impact by coaching and consulting cross-functional partners, empowering them to conduct high-quality research alongside you and independently.
