Experienced or Lead Airworthiness & Regulatory Certification Engineer to support international type validation for production programs, collaborating with FAA and global regulators to validate Boeing Commercial aircraft.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides technical guidance and training relative to complex safety and airworthiness matters.
  2. Collaborate and coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration and foreign regulatory agencies to successfully execute international type validation projects.
  3. Navigate through various regulatory processes to identify effective solutions for complex problems, while providing guidance to all airplane programs.
  4. Ensure regulator actions are successfully captured, implemented, and closed in a timely manner
  5. Communicate airplane validation risks across all models effectively.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of related work experience (Level 3) or 9+ years (Level 4)
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes / skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally

Nice to have

  • 9+ years of experience with designing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Experience with aircraft design, certification, integration, or related field
  • Experience in FAA certification or airworthiness
  • Experience with airplane safety and certification processes
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Ability to gain trust of team and guide their careers
