Boeing Boeing · Aerospace · Hazelwood, MO

Experienced/Senior Loads and Dynamics Engineer for tactical aircraft programs (F-15, F/A-18, T-7A, MQ-25) at Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Responsibilities include developing air vehicle environments, performing analysis for buffet, aeroacoustics, and vibration, defining flight envelopes, developing and executing test plans (wind tunnel, ground, flight), reviewing hardware packages for flight worthiness, and providing data for structural design requirements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, 5+ years of experience in structural dynamics, and proficiency in structural analysis software like NASTRAN. Preferred qualifications include higher-level programming language experience (Python, Fortran, MATLAB) and experience with military aircraft.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead in developing air vehicle environments for vibrations, shock, and/or acoustic noise
  2. Collaborate with the airframe & subsystems design and analysis engineers to generate integrated models for flight vehicle analysis consistent with a Model Based Engineering (MBE) environment
  3. Perform analysis for buffet, aeroacoustics, and vibration to support air vehicle design and stores integration
  4. Define flight envelopes and operational limits based on analysis and/or test results
  5. Develop flight test and ground test plans
