This role is for an Experimental Radio Frequency (RF) & Microwave Technician at Boeing, focusing on developing, assembling, and maintaining shop aids for testing and troubleshooting experimental aircraft electronics systems. Responsibilities include performing tests with various equipment, installing/modifying aircraft wiring, troubleshooting faults, and working with radar and navigational systems. What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, assemble, and maintain new and existing shop aids for testing and troubleshooting experimental aircraft electronics systems, subsystems, and associated wiring.
  2. Perform tests using various computer systems and general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters of various types), as required.
  3. Install, remove, and modify experimental/production aircraft wiring using various mechanical and electrical hand tools to bring wiring to engineering specifications per nonconformance reports, and BAC specifications.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair faults, as required.
  5. Install, repair, and modify various types of radar systems on experimental and production aircraft and in the lab.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum three years of experience using electronic test equipment such as network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the field of RF/Microwave electronics design and RF/Microwave tests.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
