What you'd actually do

  1. guide the day-to-day activities of engineers responsible for development, production support, and sustainment of fielded systems of stores management and recorder solutions
  2. oversee the upgrade program for a new Stores Management System, including requirements, design, integration, testing, and fielding
  3. lead the technical integration of a new recorder solution into existing F-15 and common recorder architectures, including supplier technical oversight and certification support
  4. manage installation and aircraft integration activities for avionics equipment on F-15 platforms, coordinating with flight test, modification teams, and production
  5. own program-level technical risk identification, mitigation, and delivery commitments

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent
  • at least 1 year of experience in leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing teams and/or projects
  • Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies
  • Experience in the design, development, and integration, test and production of Avionics Systems
  • Experience with F-15 and/or Mission Systems on Similar platforms
  • Engineering and Missions System Leadership experience on similar subsystems and on similar platforms
  • Experience in Supplier Management and Technical Oversight of Suppliers
  • Experience with the Program Management Best Practices including the Earned Value Management (EVM) system as a Cost Account Manager
