Mechanical technician role focused on the assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and repair of F-18 fighter aircraft components and systems. Requires experience with military aircraft maintenance, reading technical manuals, and ensuring flight worthiness. Involves inspections, troubleshooting, and documentation of repairs and processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  2. Performs end-of-runway, postflight, preflight, thru-flight, and phase inspections.
  3. Uses technical data to diagnose and address maintenance problems on aircraft systems.
  4. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  5. Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
