F-18 Maintenance Controller

This role is for an F-18 Maintenance Controller at Boeing, responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and controlling the maintenance and repairs of F-18 aircraft to ensure they are ready for flight. The position requires extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, specifically as a Maintenance Controller supervisor for the F-18 platform, and involves certifying logbook entries and coordinating maintenance efforts to meet flight schedules. A 'Safe for Flight' certification and knowledge of NALCOMIS are mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leads, plans, organizes and controls the maintenance and repairs and the release of F-18 aircraft.
  2. Incumbent shall supervise and coordinate maintenance efforts on assigned shift, to meet the daily flight schedule.
  3. Serve as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on matters pertaining to polices, plans and objectives.
  4. This incumbent must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned, certify Aircraft/Engine Logbook entries, and coordinate maintenance control responsibilities.
  5. Must possess O-level experience as a maintenance control supervisor F-18.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience on F-18 platform
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Controller
  • Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends
  • Candidate must currently hold and maintain “Safe for Flight” certification.

Nice to have

  • Experience with recent aircraft organizational level maintenance is required.
  • Read, interpret and use manufacturers and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, wiring/schematic diagrams, data tables and other specifications to determine feasibility and method to repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Fighter Structural modification experience
  • Fighter Electrical modification experience
