Senior Principal Chief Engineer for the F-22 sustainment portfolio, responsible for engineering program execution, technology development strategies, and programmatic coordination. The role involves leading engineering activities, implementing technical plans, and engaging with customers. Requires a Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP.

What you'd actually do

  1. The individual will be responsible for technical execution, technology development strategies, and programmatic coordination across the F-22 sustainment portfolio in addition to:
  2. Lead timely execution of engineering activities across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) while staying within scope and budget.
  3. Implement technical plans and pinpoint the resources required to meet contractual deliverables.
  4. Demonstrate proven ability to lead cross functional engineering teams, mentor staff, and supervise electronic and electromechanical assembly operations.
  5. Engage customers effectively, manage programs, and oversee project planning and EVMS cost account control.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active U.S Government Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Demonstrated success leading high performance, cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience in systems, hardware, and/or software engineering for architecture, design, integration, verification/validation, production, and/or post-production support in a military/aerospace product environment.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields.
  • Active U.S Government Top Secret Clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as the technical point of contact to Executive leadership and/or Customers stakeholder addressing technical requests and translating into actionable deliveries.
  • Experience in driving schedule, cost, and risk management to ensure projects stay on track, within budget, and resilient to uncertainties.
  • Proven domain expertise in defense grade electronic systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of Department of Defense systems engineering requirements and standards
  • Strong proficiency with earned value management (EVM) methodology and its practical application
