Software Developer Engineers for the F-22 program, focusing on modernizing and maintaining the Operational Flight Program (OFP) and associated test software. Responsibilities include design, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software, translating requirements into design, debugging, and supporting software processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
  2. Assists with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products
  3. Supports development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations
  4. Supports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products
  5. Supports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance
  • 2 plus years’ experience with programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and Python
  • Experience working in a project where various software development methodologies are being utilized
  • Ability to obtain F-22 Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience developing embedded real-time software
  • Experience developing models and simulation
  • Experience working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Experience with Agile software development
