As an F&B OB Sourcing Analyst, you will build and strengthen vendor relationships to enhance reliability and performance. Your role includes managing vendor onboarding, improving vendor performance, and supporting cross-functional vendor management. You will develop in-depth knowledge of vendors and key manufacturing and logistical processes to optimize efficiency and reliability. Ensure vendor capabilities align with Target’s priorities to meet our guests' needs.
About this role: PCE Commercialization Planning and alignment Drive the vendor communication and scheduling post business award leading to the first production alignment/ review and through the transition. Identify risks to successful set and work with internal CFT and vendor partners to solve or mitigate risks. Vendor System Set-up and Onboarding – Directly support vendor onboarding through the submission of new vendor system requests and the tracking of vendor set-up completion. Initiate process, track/confirm vendor facility registration in multiple systems and provide resources. Follow-up on any missing information and escalate as necessary. Assist with vendor chargeback disputes and tracking. Execute projects on Vendor performance, Matrix management and margin Improvement – Support projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing vendor performance, optimizing vendor matrix management, and improving overall margins. This includes developing and implementing strategies to address performance gaps, streamline vendor interactions, and increase cost-efficiency.
About you: 4-year degree 2-3 years merchandising, sourcing, or inventory management experience, including vendor engagement/management; food and beverage experience preferred. Knowledge of sustainable and responsible sourcing practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Accountability to manage a broad range of projects in different stages of development. Able to demonstrate flexibility in approach and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Resourceful and able to work independently on filling in gaps of information. Curiosity and drive for seeking and promoting new ideas, in combination with solid business judgment. Capability to analyze data and determine actionable steps. Proficiency in MS Office suite, data analysis, and reporting.
