Facilitation Specialist

This role is for a Facilitation Specialist within RTX's OMNIA® Training team, focused on delivering and transforming collective training for the British Army. The specialist will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage support requirements for training events, and ensure alignment with operational environments and doctrine. The role requires experience in designing training support solutions, stakeholder management, and program governance, with a strong emphasis on serving the British Army's mission.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and coordinate the support requirements to deliver, sustain, and recover Collective Training delivered at the point of need.
  2. Undertake the planning, development and implementation of tailored exercise support solutions for Collective Training Events.
  3. Support the design and delivery of collective training and update as necessary to reflect changes in the Force Preparation Schedule.
  4. Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure training support is aligned to the current operational environment, the pacing threat and current British Army Doctrine.
  5. Ensure governance, risk management, and compliance standards are met throughout the transformation lifecycle.

Skills

Required

  • Proven experience in designing Collective Training Exercise Support Solutions for the British Army training.
  • Strong background in Log IS and technical support solutions.
  • Understanding of management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and influencing at all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience in programme governance, risk management, and benefits realisation.
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, a passion for quality and be able to plan and multitask.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to the role, adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Experience working in or with public sector or defence-related programmes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with training both in the UK and overseas.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and digital transformation tools.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies.
  • Ability to foster innovation and drive cultural change within large organisations.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and third-party delivery partners.
