The Facilities Coordinator Level 3 at Northrop Grumman is responsible for coordinating and supervising the construction, installation, or rearrangement of equipment and building facilities, as well as equipment and machinery maintenance for an assigned area. This role involves managing contractors, verifying labor and materials, inspecting projects for compliance with standards, and advising on cost status. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of additional education or experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinating and supervising the construction, installation or rearrangement of equipment and building facilities and/or equipment and machinery maintenance for assigned area.
  2. Maintaining contact with and directs contractor representatives and assists in resolving discrepancies in design specifications.
  3. Verifying labor expended and materials used and inspects projects for conformance to engineering standards and codes, building techniques and safety practices.
  4. Estimating percent completion of projects and advises designated individuals of cost status.
  5. Working in conjunction with facilities representatives under the guidance of the facilities manager to manage day-to-day operational tasks of the facilities department.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Availability to handle off-hours emergencies and holiday work
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

  • Aerospace Industry Facilities Experience
  • Experience with Facilities Management Systems (CMMS, CostPoint, ServiceNow, etc.)
