Northrop Grumman is seeking a Facilities Engineer (Level 2 or 3) in Melbourne, FL, responsible for the reliability and operational efficiency of a large campus. Key duties include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, supporting project engineers, managing vendors, and developing preventative maintenance strategies. The role also involves implementing machine monitoring for predictive maintenance and tracking capital projects. A STEM Bachelor's degree is required, with experience levels varying by level (2 or 3). A Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Interact with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot issues. Specifically function as a subject matter expert on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Building Automation / Controls.
  2. Support project engineers to review plans for new builds and modifications to existing infrastructure, ensuring commonality and compatibility with existing infrastructure, maintainability, suitability for stated need and environment.
  3. Support our current facility and planned growth in all aspects of construction, modification, operation and production.
  4. This position works to ensure that all equipment performs optimally and maintains a high level of uptime.
  5. Help to ensure that the correct preventative maintenance procedures are in place and recommend all necessary spare parts to keep the plant operational on a 24/7 basis.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in STEM discipline
  • Experience in Reliability, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Aerospace, Electrical, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Controls
  • Understanding of infrastructure risk assessment processes
  • Experience in Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret US Clearance

  • Experience as an operator and administrator of Building Automation Systems (Trane Tracer, Tridium)
