What you'd actually do

  1. Prepares and executes maintenance management budgets
  2. Manages facilities equipment and spare parts inventories to assure operational readiness
  3. Uses lean thinking/manufacturing fundamentals and TPM principles to organize workflow, streamline internal processes and minimize equipment downtime
  4. Communicates directly with operations management on status of equipment within the facility
  5. Drives root cause & corrective action, utilizing reliability engineering to take proactive approach

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of facility related experience or; a master's degree and 7 years of facility related experience or a PhD and 5 years of facility related experience
  • Two years of prior leadership experience in a managerial, supervisory, or lead capacity
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of facilities and equipment maintenance and reliability services
  • Solid understanding and experience in troubleshooting factory equipment, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to prepare sound presentations and conduct meetings with the senior staff
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in lean manufacturing and maintenance systems
  • Experience in aerospace industry
  • Past experience working in high-rate manufacturing facilities operating on a 24/7 schedule
  • Basic understanding of carbon composite manufacturing
  • Experience in automated industrial equipment such as storing, retrieving, forming, autoclave, conveyance, trim, inspections and CNC machining centers
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams with diverse maintenance/craft skills and backgrounds
  • Hands-on experience/background in maintenance fields strongly preferred (Mechanic, Millwright, Pipefitter, HVAC background)
