Facilities Engineering Manager

Boeing is seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for sustaining manufacturing operations and mission-critical systems through reliable infrastructure. The role involves managing engineering goals, implementing process plans, securing resources, and building stakeholder partnerships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and manage the engineering team’s goals and priorities, providing direction and oversight
  2. Design and implement process plans, policies, and procedures to achieve operational goals
  3. Secure and allocate resources for engineering work, oversee supplier technical performance, and drive process improvements
  4. Build and maintain strong partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners, and direct reports
  5. Review and approve technical approaches, designs, products, and engineering processes

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited course of study in engineering and ABET accredited college / university
  • at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • Experience with Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Software Systems
  • Experience with oversight of budgets and financial data
  • Experience in financial acumen
  • Able to travel up to 25% domestically

Nice to have

  • 10+ years of experience in Facilities Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
  • Experience developing strategic long range business plans
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders
  • Experience using MS Office Suite
  • Experience in administrating change management
  • Strategic decision making, planning and organizational skills
