This role manages the operations and maintenance of mechanical systems (chillers, cooling towers, HVAC) in Oracle's OCI data centers, focusing on ensuring uptime, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities include leading technicians, managing vendors, overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Oracle standards. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and experience in critical facilities environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead daily operations, maintenance, and service execution for critical mechanical and HVAC infrastructure.
  2. Own mechanical plant readiness, including preventive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, restoration activities, and maintenance backlog management.
  3. Serve as the primary site point of contact and technical lead for mechanical systems, including incident escalation and operational decision support.
  4. Manage Facilities Technicians, contractors, and service vendors, ensuring strong safety performance, quality of work, documentation rigor, and SLA adherence.
  5. Drive troubleshooting and response for mechanical failures, abnormal conditions, and performance degradation impacting uptime or operational stability.

Required

  • 5–8 years of experience in mechanical plant operations, HVAC service, critical cooling maintenance, or related uptime-critical environments
  • 1–3+ years of experience leading technicians, maintenance teams, or service providers
  • Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, CRAHs, AHUs, CDUs, and related controls platforms
  • Experience managing vendors, maintenance programs, incident response, and service execution in 24x7 operations
  • Familiarity with BMS, SCADA, DCIM, and CMMS tools
  • Strong troubleshooting judgment
