Facilities Operations Technician

Operate and maintain critical facility systems (MEP, HVAC, power, environmental controls) for supercomputing data centers that power AI development. This role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and process optimization to ensure peak performance and reliability of the infrastructure supporting AI research and development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for MEP Infrastructure site safety and environmental compliance, ensuring the sites align with all local and regional health and safety requirements.
  2. Provide operational expertise for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems at the datacenter facility. The systems and equipment can include pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, wiring, lighting systems, generators, motors, water supply, UPS and switchgear, etc.
  3. Routinely inspect all areas to ensure performance measures are being maintained and proactively self-report the problems of facilities.
  4. Experience with writing and executing MOPs, SOPs, EOPs.
  5. Perform daily inspections of critical systems.

Required

  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering principles and systems knowledge
  • Experience with critical systems documentation (Plans, Procedures, Operations Manuals)
  • Experience with Building and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems and Operations
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical writing skills
