Oracle Oracle · Enterprise · MI

This role is for a Facilities Operations Technician V – Electrical in a hyperscale data center. The primary responsibilities include leading and guiding the reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance of mission-critical electrical systems, defining and improving electrical standards, leading complex troubleshooting and incident investigations, and providing technical guidance for upgrades and expansions. The role requires extensive experience with mission-critical electrical systems and a strong understanding of power distribution and system reliability. It is not directly related to AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define, maintain, and improve electrical standards for high-availability infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS, batteries, generators, grounding, and distribution systems.
  2. Lead complex troubleshooting, power quality analysis, incident investigations, and root cause analysis for high-impact or recurring events.
  3. Provide technical guidance for upgrades, retrofits, and expansions, including design review, commissioning support, and operational acceptance processes.
  4. Partner with site operations teams to improve maintainability, safe execution of work, and documentation quality, including procedures, one-lines, settings, and test plans.
  5. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as utilities and vendors, and ensure alignment with applicable codes and standards including NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, and local requirements.
