This role is for a Facilities Electrical Planner at Northrop Grumman, responsible for material procurement, contractor coordination, and supporting engineering teams in completing facility projects. The role involves estimating, managing contracts, preparing shop planning, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and project completion. It requires experience with electrical systems, components, and drawings, and is open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Initiates the procurement of new and major modifications facilities and equipment by providing a cost estimate and purchase requisition.
  2. Initiates the procurement for the repair of facilities and equipment across the plant
  3. Estimates hours and administrates time and material contracts.
  4. Control modification, fabrication, and repairs on equipment through in-house processes.
  5. Maintain history packets for auditing requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Experience working with electrical systems, components, and drawings.
  • Experience working with/in fabrication or facility maintenance.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Good organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Technical attention to detail on past projects and assignments.

Nice to have

  • Electrician experience preferred.
