What you'd actually do

  1. Lead an energetic team of facilities engineers through process and investment optimization.
  2. Balance lean manufacturing principles with new technology at various capacity levels.
  3. Provide engineering leadership through upfront cost studies for new model vehicles.
  4. Lead the development of tooling and facilities master layouts based on product and process.
  5. Support the commodity teams through Bodyshop development balancing new product equipment requirements with real world process capability and optimization.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • 7 + years in body and/or two new model launches or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel and support launch activities at our North American Assembly plants
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, and PowerPoint), Teamcenter, & AutoCAD
  • Sound oral and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • “Hands On” tooling and installation experience.
