Facilities Technician 1 - East Coast Fulfillment Center

This role is for a Facilities Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing material handling equipment and building systems in a fulfillment center. It involves executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting operations with maintenance solutions. The role requires experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance, as well as knowledge of material handling equipment and basic controls systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
  2. Support the troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors (such as motor/ reducer issues, belt tracker, belt lacing
  3. Support the troubleshooting of basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
  4. Safely operate equipment: forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools
  5. Working Knowledge of a work order system

Skills

Required

  • Experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance
  • Knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLC’s.
