Boeing is seeking Associate or Experienced Fatigue Tracking Engineers to support aircraft programs by developing and maintaining aircraft tracking systems, including utilization, inspection/maintenance intervals, and fleet risk/health assessments. Responsibilities include integrating requirements, developing and executing test plans, investigating failures, performing root cause analysis, designing and developing software applications, contributing to software architecture, troubleshooting issues, and gathering user requirements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and relevant experience, with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences. Experience with computer programming and Microsoft Office is necessary. A US Security Clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Integrate and document structural and system design requirements, coordinating with engineering teams to define the product environment
  2. Develop, execute, and analyze test plans to validate systems and components meet specifications and certification standards
  3. Support in-service products by investigating failures, performing root cause analysis, and recommending improvements
  4. Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using current and emerging technologies, ensuring functionality and performance
  5. Contribute to software architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design patterns to enhance system implementation

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • Experience with computer programming or software development
  • Ability to develop technical reports and present results
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Structural Integrity Program and program requirements
  • 5+ years performing structural and/or fatigue and fracture analysis
  • 3+ years performing computer programming with the following languages; Fortran, Java, SQL, HTML, python, C++, F#
  • Experience with structural analysis software common with industry standards
  • Ability to provide training/mentoring to early career engineers
  • Strong oral and written communications skills

What the JD emphasized

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
