Field Frac Technician I installs, maintains, and repairs frac equipment including valves, chokes, casing, and tubing heads. Requires driving a company vehicle, adherence to safety protocols, and performing repairs on customer property and rental assets. The role involves inspecting, rebuilding, operating, and troubleshooting equipment, providing customer service, and preparing service orders. Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record and six months of related experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepare JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and POWRA (Point of Work Risk Assessment) on job site and perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with SPM Oil & Gas SHE policies
  2. Safely install, remove, repair and service equipment on a frac site. Pre-check all equipment and processes prior to starting the job to ensure all equipment is operable and complete
  3. Make repairs to customer property and rental assets including valves, spools, chokes, actuators, and surface equipment as required
  4. Inspects, rebuilds, operates, tests and troubleshoot equipment. Monitors, evaluates and recommends adjustments to processes and or equipment that maximizes quality and efficiency
  5. Operates equipment and materials following OEM guidelines as well as standard operating procedures.

Skills

Required

  • Ability to drive a company issued vehicle
  • Six months of related experience and/or training
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Experience with API 6A Gate Valves, chokes, casing, and tubing heads and spools
