Field Service & Support Specialist

This role is for a Field Service & Support Specialist for DePuy Synthes' Velys Digital Surgery (Orthopedics) hardware. The primary responsibilities include providing technical and clinical support, managing the customer support system for installation, service, and repair, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and acting as a liaison between commercial and support functions. The role also involves training customers and internal teams, troubleshooting, and coordinating aftersales support.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leads necessary technical steps to prepare for DePuy Synthes hardware (hereinafter “hardware”) installation for the company (internal and external events) and operating room (OR)
  2. Supervises required actions on preventive maintenance, repair, field action, and software updates.
  3. Supports companies and customers with obtaining all necessary theoretical and practical skills operating hardware in OR.
  4. Trains customers, sales and clinical teams on hardware usage and application.
  5. Serves as first point of contact for customers’ and teams’ hardware questions.

Skills

Required

  • Higher education degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Min 3-5 years of technical experience with Medical Devices
  • Readiness to be present in OR during orthopedic surgeries
  • Fluency in English, German and French
  • Proactive problem solving/solution seeking
  • Ability to navigate a multi-function corporate environment
  • Readiness to complete all necessary hospital- and government-imposed requirements and to follow all existing hospital and OR presence guidelines
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Specialization in Medical Devices
