Field Services Engineer

This role is for a Field Services Engineer responsible for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure that supports Anthropic's AI systems, including Claude. The primary focus is on network operations, vendor management, and physical infrastructure lifecycle, with an emphasis on building scalable processes and operational discipline. While the role supports AI systems, it does not directly involve building or researching AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own network infrastructure deployment, maintenance, and bringup across sites
  2. Oversee outside plant and long-haul fiber optic repair vendors: manage dispatches, validate work quality, and ensure SLA compliance
  3. Execute network device installation, configuration validation, and commissioning support
  4. Own RMA processes end-to-end: triage, swap, ship, track, close
  5. Manage spares inventory and coordinate logistics across sites
