This role is for a Final Assembly Inspector at Northrop Grumman, responsible for inspecting launch vehicle components and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet government and company standards. The inspector verifies compliance with quality procedures, including ISO 9001/AS 9100, and monitors quality control. The position requires an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance and involves travel.

What you'd actually do

  1. Inspect launch vehicle components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications.
  2. Inspect the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to launch vehicle components, sub-assemblies, and final products.
  3. Verify compliance with quality procedures and specifications (e.g., auditing ISO 9001/AS 9100).
  4. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other quality control procedures.
  5. May communicate directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and compliance with contractual requirements.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice to have

  • Hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques
  • Knowledge and experiences with inspection tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of TIPQA, Cost Point, and MES
  • Experience with nonconformances procedures
