Final Assembly Inspector - Level 3 or Level 4

This role is for a Final Assembly Inspector at Northrop Grumman, focusing on quality inspection of manufacturing processes for inert and energetic materials. It requires knowledge of AS9100 standards, inspection tools, and nonconformance procedures, with a need to obtain a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Apply hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques with knowledge of AS9100 (or equivalent) and other related standards.
  2. Receiving inspection experience and experience with creating Nonconformances within TipQa.
  3. ESD, FOD and Shelf Life Control experience.
  4. Experience using inspection hand tooling such as Micrometers, Calipers, and etc.
  5. Efficient using Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 3)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to pass a BATFE Background investigation
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience of inspection methods and techniques, inspection tools, and inspection equipment on inert and energetic materials
  • Experience with nonconformance procedures
  • Basic understanding of reading and interpreting model-based drawings
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working with and around energetics
  • Experience using inspection hand tooling such as Micrometers, Calipers, and etc.
  • Efficient using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with TipQa, MES, and CostPoint software

Nice to have

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
