Finance Analyst, AI Cloud Product Finance

This role supports the finance team for Google's AI Cloud products. The analyst will partner with engineering, TI, and PM to analyze the performance and TCO of AI product SKUs, forecast customer demand and profitability, and develop cost insights for new product introductions. The role requires experience in financial planning and analysis, with a preference for knowledge of Google's technical infrastructure and AI/ML economics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Facilitate cross-functional workstreams to analyze capacity constraints and cost drivers for customer agreements.
  2. Develop models to forecast customer demand and profitability.
  3. Partner with engineering, technical infrastructure (TI), and product management (PM) to analyze the performance and total cost of ownership (TCO) for artificial intelligence (AI) product stock keeping units (SKUs), incorporating these insights into customer proposals.
  4. Work alongside capacity, TI, and PM to develop cost insights for the new product introduction (NPI) roadmap based on macroeconomic commodity prices.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience with executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.

  • Experience streamlining cross-functional activities into processes.
  • Knowledge of Google’s technical infrastructure, AI/ML hardware, and the economics behind the investments needed to support AI/ML demand.
