This role focuses on financial reporting, data management, and stakeholder coordination within Uber Payments, a licensed financial entity. The analyst will operationalize safeguarding measures, review financial and regulatory reports, perform financial analysis, and manage the finance data domain. A key aspect involves coordinating with internal teams (accounting, tax, data analytics) and identifying opportunities to use AI and automation to improve financial processes. While not building AI models, the role requires an understanding of AI concepts and an interest in its application for financial process enhancement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepare and review monthly, statutory, and regulatory financial reporting, while supporting the monthly close and consolidation processes.
  2. Act as a key owner of the finance data domain, ensuring critical financial data is complete, accurate and up to date.
  3. Coordinate daily deliverables with internal and outsourced teams (accounting, tax, and data analytics), reviewing and approving their output according to the four-eyes principle.
  4. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting through advanced tools and AI-enabled solutions.
  5. Support the preparation of audited financial statements and DNB regulatory filings.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a Big 4 firm, financial services or the payments industry
  • Solid grounding in financial reporting, accounting principles and financial analysis
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and review work delivered by other teams
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to keep a helicopter view while drilling into the detail

Nice to have

  • A professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, RA, RC or equivalent), or substantial progress towards one
  • exposure to Power Query, SQL or data-warehouse concepts
  • An understanding of core AI concepts and genuine interest in using automation to improve how finance works
