Finance Expert

This role involves providing high-quality input and labels for training AI models in advanced finance fields, including investment analysis, equities, commodities, real estate, fixed income, forex, derivatives, and accounting. The Finance Expert will collaborate with the technical team to support AI task training, refine annotation tools, and select complex financial problems. The role also includes acting as an AI Tutor to teach AI models about human interaction and problem-solving in finance, which may involve gathering or providing data such as text, voice, and video, including annotations, audio recordings, or video sessions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Use proprietary software applications to provide input/labels on defined projects.
  2. Support and ensure the delivery of high-quality curated data.
  3. Play a pivotal role in supporting and contributing to the training of new tasks, working closely with the technical staff to ensure the successful development and implementation of cutting-edge initiatives/technologies.
  4. Interact with the technical staff to help improve the design of efficient annotation tools.
  5. Choose problems from finance fields that align with your expertise, focusing on areas like investment analysis, taxation, accounting, financial modeling, or risk assessment where you can confidently provide detailed solutions and evaluate model responses.
  6. Regularly interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on given instructions.

Skills

Required

  • Master's or PhD in a finance-related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration with a finance focus, or related disciplines) or equivalent professional experience as an investment analyst specializing in equity, commodities, real estate, fixed income, or accounting.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing, both in informal and professional English.
  • Strong ability to navigate various financial information resources, databases, and online resources (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, SEC filings).
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
  • Solid reading comprehension skills combined with the capacity to exercise autonomous judgment even when presented with limited data/material.
  • Strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation in finance.

Nice to have

  • Professional experience as an investment analyst, portfolio or wealth manager, or financial consultant.
  • Possesses experience with at least one publication in a reputable finance or economics journal or outlet.
  • Teaching experience (as a professor, teacher, or tutor) in finance-related subjects.
  • Corporate accountants with a CPA
  • CFA Charterholder
