Finance Manager role focused on financial planning and analysis (FP&A) within Microsoft's Core Financial Planning & Analysis team. Responsibilities include supporting CFO deliverables, managing financial data, planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting), and conducting strategic analyses. The role involves coordinating with various finance teams, preparing executive-level reports, and driving efficiency and automation. It also includes enabling the adoption of AI capabilities through training and application in daily tasks, and supporting system transitions like S4 SAP.

What you'd actually do

  1. work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Board of Directors (BOD) reporting lead to directly support CFO deliverables needed for strategic decision making and internal and external guidance.
  2. You will have first-hand experience at the heart of a world class CFO organization with an active role in quarterly close, forecast and BOD processes.
  3. Your responsibilities will include slideware preparation, compilation of reporting slideware from multiple contributing teams company-wide, content management, data alignment and audit, note taking in review sessions, management of follow up actions and ad hoc analysis.
  4. The role will have visibility and provide support to all of the CFT FP&A processes that assemble and manage the consolidation of Microsoft’s financial results and forecast at quarter end.
  5. Manage change and drive opportunities for efficiency and automation across CFO financial rhythms

Skills

Required

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
