Finance Manager role supporting the Marketing organization at Chewy.   4. Execute daily, weekly, and monthly business review reporting production, make callouts, and generate performance commentary for senior leadership.
  5. Analyze business results to call out areas of opportunity and make recommendations.

Skills

Required

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years in finance-related roles with progressively increasing levels of responsibility -OR master’s degree and 3+ years of experience
  • History of using data and analytics to drive business decisions
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Strong analytical, business acumen, and technical finance modeling skills using large data sets
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial reporting software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts concisely to stakeholders across job levels and functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where decisions need to be made quickly with imperfect data
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and trust with stakeholders within and outside your direct organization.
  • Relentless curiosity and desire to learn and challenge yourself in functional areas you might not be familiar with.

Overview

Chewy is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Seattle, WA, supporting the dynamic and fast-moving Marketing organization to drive revenue and customer growth for the company!

This role supports strategic marketing efforts aimed at driving core enterprise growth and expansion priorities, supporting a diverse set of stakeholders across marketing departments as well as in retail and category finance. The person in this role will create financial and customer growth forecasts for key marketing activities, and will own financial planning and reporting cadences, controllership, rhythm of business, and improvement of our reporting and analysis infrastructure. The role directly supports several Sr. Director/Director partners and delivers insights and reporting to manage marketing investments and campaign performance across a wide portfolio of activities. The role also partners closely with Marketing FP&A to generate insightful business commentary for Finance and Marketing stakeholders. It supports efficiency in the organization by improving reporting infrastructure, driving automation, and driving analysis that improves performance.

This is a job for someone who can get close to the details, deeply understands financial modeling and reporting, partners well with business unit leaders, and is able to connect project work to the larger business strategy. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must be able to earn trust across their finance peers and business partners. The candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to invent and improve processes. They will be an owner, raising their hand to investigate risks/opportunities, especially when ownership is ambiguous or unclear, as is often the case with new programs.   • Develop month-end processes and audit financial operations to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.

The base salary range for this role is $110,500 - $176,000.00.

  • The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
