Finance Manager for AWS Generative AI team, responsible for financial planning, CapEx management, and supporting strategic launches and process improvements for GenAI services.

What you'd actually do

  1. Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
  2. Owning the GenAI services end to end, and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures
  3. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
  4. Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Nice to have

  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
