Finance Manager for AWS Networking team, supporting investment decisions, FP&A processes, and new initiatives. Focuses on financial partnership, cost management, business case development, and reporting, including for Generative AI investments and automation projects.

What you'd actually do

  1. Facilitating financial review meetings with senior business and finance leadership to support decision making.
  2. Maintain, and improve, existing finance processes to ensure data integrity, efficient and insightful analysis.
  3. Play a critical role in cost management, controllership, business case development, decision-making, and metrics development.
  4. Uses solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders.
  5. Drivers controllership around new initiatives such as Generative AI investments, automation projects and technology transition initiatives reporting.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Nice to have

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
