Job Description
Position Summary The Finance Manager position will support the Senior Director of AP Deal Desk to manage the incentive partnership deals and approval processes across Asia Pacific markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the review of Client Incentives deal proposals submitted for approvals to AP Geographic Incentive Group (GIG) and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve quality of deal proposals, including Cluster Deal Specialists, Finance Business Partners and business teams
- Support managing incentive deal approval process, assisting in putting in place an efficient process that meets business needs and internal governance and compliance requirements
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on deal pro-forma models and manage the maintenance and enhancements of the models to meet business needs through close collaboration with Global Deal Operations (GDO) and Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) teams
- Prepare periodic Client Incentive reports for management reviews in compliance with the Global Deal Pricing Operating Standards
Other responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain a Client Incentive database that effectively meets business needs and provide ad-hoc support to management on incentive-related analysis
- Support implementation of global tooling and systems, including Dealight, iDeal, and Deal Performance Tracking (DPT), and assist in compiling and sharing of best practices on deal structuring, modeling and other key learnings from GIG meetings
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, and collaborate with other internal stakeholders (e.g., Client Incentive Operations (CIO), Legal, Contract Management etc.) to ensure that resulting client contracts are produced and executed efficiently in accordance with internal governance and compliance requirements
- Perform robust financial analysis and be able to succinctly outline and present key drivers, themes and risks while applying business and financial acumen to explain underlying drivers of results across multiple scenarios
- Operate with minimal supervision with excellent work ethics, and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently. Thrive on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing and customer service-oriented
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Professional:
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Business or equivalent
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA desirable but not necessary
- At least 8 years of relevant post qualification experience with a recognized, performance-driven multi-national company
- Experience in a finance-related discipline is preferred
- Payments industry experience and knowledge of Visa business is an advantage
Technical:
- Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical, modeling and quantitative skills; able to identify and model challenging business problems with well-structured analyses and quantifiable financial impact
- Experience using TM1 would be an advantage
- Conceptual knowledge of financial database is beneficial
- Good knowledge of accounting principles
Business
- Proven experience in finance business partnering and/or finance deal support is required, preferably in a Commercial, FP&A, or deal‑oriented environment
- Prior experience communicating and presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior‑level executives in a clear, structured, and decision‑oriented manner
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across Finance, Sales, Product, or other cross‑functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate live discussions, including the capability to rapidly test assumptions, findings, and assertions against sound financial and commercial judgment
- A collaborative team player with the ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast‑paced environment with tight timelines
- Strong business and commercial acumen with high attention to detail, and experience working with cross-functional teams to support complex business decisions
