Finance Manager for Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) team, focusing on strategic sourcing. What you'd actually do

  1. Support Sourcing Strategy and Vendor Selection programs that influence nearly all buying decisions for the Retail business, resulting in millions of decisions every day and billions of dollars every month.
  2. Collecting, analyzing, and managing quantitative data to create meaningful reports to lead business improvement and cost reductions
  3. Manage the development of weekly and monthly financial metrics, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation and communicating to your Operations and Retail partners
  4. Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data to drive actions and improvements
  5. Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Nice to have

  • MBA, or CPA
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
