Finance Operate - Manager - Governance & Standards Lead

Manager role focused on establishing governance, standards, and risk management for a Tech Enablement team within Finance Transformation. Responsibilities include developing frameworks, ensuring compliance (SOX, audit trails), and coordinating across workstreams to ensure quality and consistency in platform delivery.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement governance frameworks, delivery standards, and quality guardrails for the Tech Enablement team across all workstreams.
  2. Identify, assess, and communicate delivery and technical risks across all active workstreams; develop and track mitigation plans.
  3. Serve as the integration point across US and offshore workstreams to ensure alignment on standards, timelines, and dependencies.
  4. Mentor team members on governance, documentation, and quality practices.
  5. Champion continuous improvement of the team's delivery operating model as the team scales.

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in technology delivery, consulting, or program management
  • Demonstrated ownership of governance and standards functions
  • Strong understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience developing and enforcing documentation, delivery, and quality standards
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with finance-specific compliance and controls requirements (SOX, audit trail, access control frameworks)

Nice to have

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or related program management/delivery certifications
  • Experience in managed services or Finance Operate delivery environments
  • Knowledge of AI/automation governance considerations (model risk, auditability, bias mitigation)
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
