Finance Systems Engineer, Revenue

Anthropic Anthropic · AI Frontier · San Francisco, CA · Finance

This role is for a Finance Systems Engineer at Anthropic, focused on building and maintaining internal financial applications and integrations. The engineer will work with third-party platforms like Zuora, Stripe, and Workday, as well as develop custom full-stack applications using Python, Node.js, and React. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, automation of manual workflows, and ensuring systems are auditable, observable, and recoverable, with a strong focus on SOX compliance. While the company is AI-focused, this specific role is in finance systems engineering and does not involve direct AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the architecture, development, and maintenance of Anthropic's internal finance applications, and own the configuration and ongoing administration of third-party platforms such as Zuora, Workday, and Tesorio
  2. Build and maintain integrations across the Finance systems stack: Zuora, Stripe, Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, Tesorio, BigQuery and Billing applications
  3. Design system integrations that are auditable, observable, and recoverable—with the rigor that SOX compliance demands
  4. Identify manual, error-prone workflows in the month-end close and automate them with tested, production-grade solutions
  5. Partner with Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Order Management teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs—and then build them yourself
