The Tax Manager role at Johnson & Johnson in Tokyo is responsible for ensuring timely filing and compliance with local and US tax regulations, supporting tax process optimization, managing tax audits, and providing tax advisory services to various business partners. What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure timely filing and compliance with local tax regulations (corporate income tax, tax accounting, WHT, value added tax, , transfer pricing, etc.), US Tax Reporting, JNJ World-Wide Procedures, SOX Requirements and other regulatory policies (e.g., US GAAP and Local GAAP).
  2. Support Tax Lead to Streamline & Optimize Tax Processes including Implementing local tax governance and controls.
  3. Support Japan Tax Lead on Ad-hoc tax projects to ensure local tax compliance for all Johnson and Johnson legal entities in Japan, including SigniFi (CFIN, TranSCend, TransAct) projects.
  4. Provide in-house tax advisory and guidance to various business partners (Finance Director, Global Services – Finance, Business Finance, Supply Chain, Business Leaders, etc) and external consultants
  5. Manage ax audits in coordination with various business partners, stakeholders, regional/global tax teams and external consultants. Keep abreast of tax development and update current business process to ensure tax compliance. Close monitoring of Tax Reform Packages and ensuring new laws are properly and timely implemented. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into goals and decision making
