This role focuses on the financial analysis and strategic decision-making related to Generative AI technologies within Google's Search and K&I organization. The Financial Analyst will lead financial evaluations, build financial models, provide guidance on partnerships and remuneration structures, and quantify the financial impact of GAI products like AI Overviews and AI Mode. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and involves managing resource allocations for evolving AI products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the financial evaluation, scoping, and modeling of potential partnerships, licensing agreements, and scaled remuneration structures for Generative AI technologies and ecosystem incentives.
  2. Build trusted advisor relationships with leaders in a high-growth, ambiguous environment, providing proactive financial guidance to enable agile decision-making across the Search and K&I organization.
  3. Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and extreme ownership to adapt seamlessly to changing priorities, moving from technical data processing to high-level executive storytelling for executive leadership.
  4. Conduct data-driven analyses to quantify the net financial impact of GAI products, including AI Overviews (AIO) and AI Mode (AIM), on business, query growth, core search metrics, and infrastructure/machine resource allocation.
  5. Collaborate with broader finance and cross-functional colleagues to iterate on the Long Range Plan (LRP), manage resource allocations for nascent and rapidly evolving AI products and ecosystem programs.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 2 years with an advanced degree.
