This role is for a Financial Analyst or Principal Financial Analyst at Northrop Grumman, supporting the Air Dominance Division. Responsibilities include monthly/quarterly financial reporting, planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, and supporting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. A U.S. Government Secret Clearance is required. The role focuses on financial operations within a large aerospace and defense company.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supports Monthly/Quarterly Financial Reporting and Planning processes, including financial and cost forecasting, reporting and analysis, and profitability analysis.
  2. Supports development of consolidated program Long Range Strategic Plans (LRSP) and Annual Operating Plans.
  3. Works with the business management teams to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics and to support the management & reporting requirements for the program.
  4. Support the management of program financials, including financial and cost forecasting, reporting and analysis, profitability analysis, and working capital analysis (accounts receivable forecasting, unbilled analysis, and aged receivables analysis).
  5. Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, and/or industry related field OR Master's degree.
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • data and/or financial analysis experience
  • U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with Northrop Grumman financial planning, reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with IBM Cognos and Planning Analytics.
  • Experience with the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Strategic Plan processes.
  • Excel experience including Macros, MS Excel (e.g., INDEXMATCH, Pivot tables), and PowerPoint experience.
  • Understanding of US Government procurement and contracting, Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR.
  • Active DOD Top Secret clearance with completed investigation in the last 6 years.
