Financial Modeling Consultant

This role involves developing financial models and analyses for clients in transactions, business planning, and operational assessments. It requires supporting decision-making processes, analyzing model outputs, and presenting findings. The role also includes developing and enhancing modeling tools, supporting practice development, and coaching junior team members.

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing financial models and analyses used for transactions, strategic business planning, and operational decision-making
  2. Analyzing model outputs and presenting actionable findings to clients and other stakeholders
  3. Designing and enhancing scalable modeling tools that support scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and long-term planning
  4. Supporting practice development efforts, including financial modeling offerings, internal and external marketing, and training initiatives
  5. Coaching junior practitioners and contributing to practice and business development initiatives

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business field
  • 2+ years of financial modeling experience
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting or industry roles supporting financial modeling, strategic planning, and client deliverables
  • Experience developing financial models and analyses for transactions, business planning, or operational decision-making
  • Experience presenting technical issues and findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Nice to have

  • Progress toward CPA, CFA, or equivalent credential
  • Experience in Power BI, Tableau, VBA, Python, SQL, or similar tools to build finance-led models and analytics
