Boeing is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to support its Global Technology International Finance team, providing cost management and financial operations support for international research centers and global R&D project portfolios. The role involves daily, monthly, and quarterly finance operations, R&D portfolio reporting, overhead and project costing, forecasting, and audit support. Requires strong finance and accounting operations understanding, intermediate/advanced Excel skills, and experience in a multinational environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support daily, monthly and quarterly finance operations for Global Technology research and development and engineering centers in various countries
  2. Coordinate with local regional finance centers and U.S. teams to verify accounting cost transfers
  3. Prepare R&D portfolio reporting for local and U.S. stakeholders
  4. Support Overhead and project management costing
  5. Support forecasting, opportunities and risks reporting, and headcount reporting

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a multinational and fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting operations, functions, and processes
  • Experience interacting with internal and external audit teams and supporting audit substantiation
  • Experience with local government external funding project reporting and auditing
  • Experience leading business transformation processes, new system implementations, integrations, and process improvements
  • Experience leading activities across more than one discipline within Administrative and Finance Services
  • Detailed understanding of internal financial control standards
  • Ability to articulate and document key accounting processes and controls clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including training and coaching
  • Intermediate or advance Excel knowledge
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity

Nice to have

  • 5 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Proven ability or desire to work across cultures
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes and strategies
  • Experience working in global teams and across cultural boundaries
  • Willingness to learn Boeing financial systems
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite to support analytical and communication needs
  • Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are an asset
