Fintech Account Manager - Named

Plaid is seeking an experienced customer-facing professional to manage and grow client relationships with a portfolio of strategic customers in their Fintech segment. The role involves owning the overall relationship, building relationships with C-suite and Product teams, meeting revenue targets, identifying upsell opportunities, leading commercial negotiations, and helping customers integrate and launch on Plaid. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of quota carrying software or technology account management experience, demonstrated account management and sales experience, customer empathy, and a desire to learn Plaid's APIs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the overall relationship with your portfolio of customers in our fastest growing customer segment.
  2. Build relationships with the C-Suite and Product teams to grow and retain revenue.
  3. Own revenue targets, which includes identifying and closing new upsell opportunities and leading commercial negotiations for contract renewals.
  4. Help customers integrate and launch on Plaid.
  5. Solve complex customer challenges through creative problem solving by working cross-functionally with Sales, Risk, Legal, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and Business Operations.

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of quota carrying software or technology account management experience
  • Demonstrated account management and sales experience
  • Customer empathy and deep desire to see customers succeed
  • Ability to work with all types of people and build long-lasting relationships
