Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a **First Line ****Electrical Engineering Manager **in Huntsville, AL. This manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution. You will be a technical leader, coach, and mentor, responsible for developing your team's skills and expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of program requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, and continuous ongoing feedback
- Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition, and disciplinary actions
- Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, and promoting customer focus
- Utilizing your strong knowledge in circuit card design experience to drive technical excellence.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
**This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. **
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Masters is preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience with Design Assurance process for circuit card designs and/or FPGAs
- Experience in generating BOEs
- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams - Full Lifecycle Development Experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active Secret Clearance
- Earned Value Management Experience
- Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, employee development and mentoring
- Proposal Development Experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development
- Process Improvement and Affordability experience
- Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
- Strong Interpersonal Skills

Summary pay range: $141,000 - $190,900
