First Robotics Engineering Intern

This is an 8-week summer internship program for rising first-year college students who participated in the FIRST Robotics program and are pursuing a STEM degree. The internship focuses on hands-on experience in R&D Engineering, Advanced/Manufacturing Technologies, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Operations Engineering within Johnson & Johnson's MedTech sector.

Skills

Required

  • Permanent work authorization in the U.S. without the need of sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to work full-time 40 hours/week for the duration of the 8-week internship program
  • Completion and successful graduation from high school
  • Enrollment in an accredited College/University Bachelor’s degree program, with intention to pursue an Engineering, Science or related STEM course of study
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Commutable distance (50 miles or less) from one of the locations listed
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Balance multiple projects and initiatives while driving results with the ability to work independently as a self-started contributing to team goals

Nice to have

  • Participation in the FIRST Robotics Program during high school
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach to achieving success
  • Intention to pursue a degree in engineering or similar
  • Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities
