Northrop Grumman is seeking a Flight Controller Level 2 to provide mission operations support for satellite programs, including flight control, system maintenance, anomaly investigations, and procedure development/testing. The role requires shift work in a 24/7 environment and involves monitoring vehicle health, tracking configuration, and reporting status. A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or a Master's degree with 0 years of experience, along with an active SCI clearance, is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide mission operations support to Satellite programs including flight control.
  2. Support system maintenance activities such as procedure updates, architecture upkeep, and formal program milestones.
  3. Work with systems engineers to conduct anomaly review board investigations as necessary.
  4. Conduct testing using simulators and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Develop and test command procedures, telemetry pages, and other products derived from vendor provided documentation

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience or Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience
  • Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
  • Ability to work within a group of diversified individuals
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to make persuasive presentations to external customers
  • Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 environment
  • Ability to work day/night 12hr shifts

  • Prior experience conducting on-orbit mission operations
