Flight Readiness Technician

Boeing is seeking a Flight Readiness Technician to support the 787 Program Delivery Center Operations Team. This role involves production support, improving efficiency, safety, and product quality. Responsibilities include final component installation, verification, systems operational functional validation testing, rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks, and troubleshooting. Requires 6 months of avionics/electrical experience and experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
  2. Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components.
  3. Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.
  4. Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
  5. Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.

Skills

Required

  • Ability to work a variable shift.
  • 6 months of avionics and/or electrical experience.
  • 6 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
  • 6 months experience/knowledge with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk.

Nice to have

  • 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
  • 6 months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
  • 6 months of 787 Program experience.
  • Familiar with Boeing Production System.
  • 6 months experience with Field/Flight Line Operations.
