Northrop Grumman is seeking a Fluid Subsystems Engineer or Principal Fluid Subsystems Engineer to join their Aeronautics Systems team in Melbourne, FL. The role involves developing, modifying, and maintaining aircraft subsystems configurations, including Environmental Control Systems, Liquid Cooling Systems, Fuel Systems, and Hydraulic Systems. Responsibilities include designing tubes/ducts, secondary structural elements, integrating components, and collaborating with stakeholders using NX and Teamcenter. A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and relevant experience are required, along with a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design tubes/ducts and routing of transport elements related to Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Liquid Cooling Systems (LCS), Fuel Systems, and Hydraulic Systems
  2. Design secondary structural elements (i.e., bracketry) to attach fluidic systems components to aircraft primary structure
  3. Perform design related tasks utilizing the NX and Teamcenter tool suite
  4. Integrate subsystems components into various aircraft applications
  5. Coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholder to ensure robust and maintainable configurations are produced

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
  • related professional/military experience

  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) software applications

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
